ELSA 

On 22nd August died peacefully in Snapethorpe Hall Care Home, aged 92, where she had been cared for over many years. Elsa was the  dearly loved wife of the late Arnold Chambers  and lived in Chapelthorpe where they managed the laundry until 1974. She was the  much loved mother of David and sister of Mary and Jean. She devoted much of her life to helping others through her hospitality and work with many church groups. Donations if desired to the “Alzheimer's Society”.  Funeral Friday 3rd September, the service will be at Wakefield crematorium at 12.30 pm. On July 3rd died peacefully at home in Sandal, Wakefield with her family by her side, husband Gordon, son and daughter, Mark and Nicole. Maureen's greatest passion was her family and devoted much of her time and energy to being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is and will be sorely missed and will remain forever in the hearts of all those who knew her. 
The funeral service and cremation was held on July 8th at Kettlethorpe Crematorium. Gordon, Mark and Nicole wish to thank relatives and friends for their kind and sincere messages and cards of condolences and for the donations to Cancer Research. Grateful thanks to all the staff at the Clover Unit of Pinderfields Hospital for their care over the past year. Thanks to the Rev John Walker for his comforting words and prayer.
